What actually drives pest control website cost
Five variables move the needle far more than the rest:
1. Service-area page count. Each city/neighborhood page is ~$120–$250 in copy + on-page SEO. A 30-city service area is a $3,600–$7,500 line item before anyone designs a homepage.
2. Booking system. Static "request a quote" form: $200. Real online booking with calendar, technician routing, and SMS confirmation: $1,500–$4,000. Integration with FieldRoutes or ServiceTitan: $2,500–$6,500.
3. Recurring service / subscription billing. Quarterly plans are 60% of pest control revenue but break most off-the-shelf themes. Custom recurring billing logic adds $2,000–$5,500.
4. Before/after pest galleries. Lightbox + filterable galleries are ~$400–$900. If you want geotagged proof-of-service photos, add $1,800.

ServiceTitan / FieldRoutes microsite. Bundled with your CRM but locked in. You don't own the site, and migrating off later costs $4,500–$8,000.
For premium WP performance — useful if you're spending $5K+/mo on Google Ads and care about Core Web Vitals — Kinsta at $35/mo is worth the upgrade. Senior contract dev for integrations: When you need clean FieldRoutes or ServiceTitan API work, Toptal is the right channel — vetted senior engineers at $100–$160/hr. Cheaper in the long run than a generalist fumbling REST tokens for 40 hours.
